During Mental Health Month, Call to Mind is launching five new specials that focus on timely mental health topics and feature interviews with experts, stories of individuals living with mental illness, and emerging research. These programs are produced with a focus on representing different identities and are available to public radio stations nationwide.

MPR News will be broadcasting all of Call to Mind’s new specials from Monday through Thursday, covering a range of topics such as the intersection of homelessness and mental health, the burden of mental illness, the experience of incarcerated individuals with mental health issues, and finding home while living with schizophrenia. Additionally, there will be a special segment on the unspoken conversation around birth and depression.

Listeners can tune in to MPR News on specific dates and times to catch these May Mental Health Month specials, starting on Monday, May 13 at 9 a.m. with “The Homelessness Crisis & Mental Health” and continuing throughout the week with different topics each day.
