Chicago Bulls’ first-round pick Matas Buzelis is eagerly anticipating his summer league debut with the team. His first game will be against the Milwaukee Bucks on July 13th at 3:30 p.m. Central Time. The Bulls have guaranteed at least five games in the summer league, with matchups against the Golden State Warriors, Detroit Pistons, and Atlanta Hawks also on the schedule.

One of the most anticipated games for Buzelis will be against his former G League Ignite teammate, Ron Holland II, when the Bulls face the Pistons. The game against the Hawks could also feature the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, Zaccharie Risacher from France. The top four teams in the summer league will advance to the playoffs, starting with a semifinal game on July 21st.

Following his emotional selection by the Bulls, Buzelis expressed how much it meant to him to be drafted by his hometown team. The Bulls have not yet released their full summer league roster, but second-year forward Julian Phillips has recovered from a foot injury and is looking forward to a big summer working on his game. Phillips will be spending time in Chicago and other places, focusing on improving his strength and skills.
