The famous “Home Alone” house, which served as the backdrop for the 1990 holiday film starring Macaulay Culkin, is once again up for sale. Priced at $5.25 million, the red-brick Georgian Colonial home is seeking new owners who can appreciate its unique history and iconic features.

The real-life home was originally purchased by the Abendshien family in 1988 for $800,000 and later bought by the current owners in 2012. During the filming of “Home Alone,” the crew used the house as a main shooting location while the Abendshien family resided on the second floor in a makeshift apartment. Since then, the Johnsons have updated much of the interior to give the house a modern touch while still preserving some of its iconic features from the film.

As Trisha Johnson mentioned to The Journal, they wanted to preserve these iconic scenes from “Home Alone” as they hold a special place in fans’ hearts. Potential buyers will find a house with contemporary fixtures that differ from the original movie set, but some key elements such as the front door and central staircase remain intact.

The “Home Alone” house has attracted attention from fans who are now able to purchase a piece of movie history. With its unique location and historical significance, it is sure to be a popular choice among potential buyers who are looking for something special.
