Craig Bellamy, a former Wales player with 78 international caps, has been named as the temporary head coach of Burnley following the departure of Vincent Kompany. Bellamy previously served as assistant manager under Kompany at Anderlecht before joining Turf Moor. Mike Jackson, who took charge of the team on an interim basis after Sean Dyche left in the 2021-22 season, has been named as his assistant.

Bellamy is a 44-year-old forward who played for Liverpool and Newcastle during his playing days. He brings extensive experience to the role, having worked with Kompany at both Anderlecht and Burnley. Jackson, meanwhile, has over 15 years of coaching experience and will provide valuable support to Bellamy during this critical period.

Rumors have linked several managers to the Burnley job, including Frank Lampard and Scott Parker. However, Steve Cooper has confirmed that he is not interested in the position. As Burnley continues its search for a permanent head coach, Bellamy and Jackson will be tasked with guiding the team through this transitional period.
