Health system resilience is a critical component that must be intentionally developed through input, investment, and contextualization. This technical product aims to guide national, subnational, and global health actors in operationalizing the concept of health system resilience to advance universal health coverage, health security, and overall better health outcomes for all.
The objectives of this product are to provide a concise overview of health system resilience, offer a roadmap with practical steps for building resilience in various contexts, and share examples of actions and tools that support the implementation of the roadmap. The target audience includes stakeholders involved in strengthening health systems and public health, including those managing emergencies and other health challenges at global, national, and subnational levels.
