The Buffalo Sabres have been active in the NHL’s free agent market, making multiple signings to bolster their roster for the upcoming season. Jason Zucker, Sam Lafferty, and Nicolas Aube-Kubel have all agreed to contracts with the team.

Zucker signed a one-year, $5 million deal, while Lafferty signed a two-year, $4 million deal and Aube-Kubel signed a one-year, $1.5 million deal. These signings come on the heels of a trade that brought Beck Malenstyn from the Washington Capitals on June 29.

The Sabres are looking to improve their bottom-six forward group with the additions of Lafferty and Aube-Kubel. Zucker, a veteran forward with six 20-goal seasons in his 13-year NHL career, is expected to bring experience and scoring ability to the team. On the defensive end, Buffalo native Dennis Gilbert has returned home on a one-year contract worth $825,000. Jacob Bryson has also re-signed with the team on a one-year, $900,000 deal.

As the offseason continues, the Sabres are likely to make more moves as they look to build a competitive roster for next season. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
