The Henry County Fair Demolition Derby is coming back this year, celebrating its 165th anniversary with a variety of demo classes for participants to compete in. The event will take place on Saturday, June 22 at 6:30 p.m. in Cambridge.

Some of the demo classes include the Power Wheel Demo for ages 3-10, Youth Compact Class, Turn Key Compact Class, Lt. Weld Compact Class, Full Size Lt. Weld Class, Full Size Bonestock Class, and Mini Van/SUV/Mini-Truck Class.

Pits will open at 3:30 p.m. for inspection, and the grandstand will open at 5:30 p.m. Grandstand admission is $10, and pit passes can be purchased for $30 at the pit gate trailer starting at 3:30 p.m. It is mandatory to have a pit pass to access the pit area during the event.

The “Best in the Midwest” drivers will be showcasing their car building and driving skills as they compete for trophies and guaranteed payouts. RMR Services of Alpha, Illinois will provide power wheels for kids aged 3-10 who do not have their own, allowing them to participate in the Power Wheel Demo for free. Power wheels are limited, so it is recommended to arrive early to reserve one for the event.
