Buccaneers left tackle Tristan Wirfs is expected to rejoin the team for next week’s minicamp, unlike wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and Brandon Aiyuk who are facing fines of over $100,000 for missing their teams’ mandatory minicamps this week. While Lamb and Aiyuk continued to hold out, Wirfs has taken a different approach and is intending to fulfill his obligations to the team despite seeking a new contract.

Despite skipping voluntary work earlier in the offseason as they sought contract extensions, it seems that Wirfs has realized the importance of attending mandatory practices. It remains unclear what level of participation he will have in the upcoming practices, but his return is a positive sign for the Bucs.

Wirfs is currently playing under his fifth-year option which will earn him $18.244 million for the season. He has been a key player for the Buccaneers since joining the team in 2019 and has shown no signs of slowing down. His return to practice could be a significant boost for the team as they prepare for the upcoming season.
