The Browns made a roster move on Friday by signing offensive guard Wyatt Davis. In order to make room for Davis, the team waived defensive tackle Jayden Peevy.

Davis, a fourth-year player out of Ohio State, was originally drafted by the Vikings in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Since then, he has appeared in nine career games with the Vikings, Giants, Saints, and Cardinals. He spent last season on injured reserve with the Giants and comes from a football family as his grandfather is Pro Football Hall of Famer Willie Davis.

Peevy, who had signed a futures contract with the Browns after last season, was waived to make room for Davis. Peevy, who entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Titans in 2022, has appeared in two career games for the Titans. He spent the 2023 season on the Titans’ and Panthers’ practice squads before joining the Browns.
