The Browns announced the signing of offensive guard Wyatt Davis on Friday. Previously, the team had made room on their roster by waiving defensive tackle Jayden Peevy. Davis, a fourth-year player who played for Ohio State, was selected in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Vikings. Throughout his career, he has played in nine games with several teams including the Vikings, Giants, Saints and Cardinals. Unfortunately, he missed all of last season due to an injury while with the Giants. Interestingly enough, Davis is the grandson of Pro Football Hall of Famer Willie Davis.
On the other hand, Peevy joined the Browns last season after signing a futures contract. Originally an undrafted free agent, he was initially with the Titans before appearing in two games with them. Peevy then spent time on both the Titans’ and Panthers’ practice squads during the 2023 season before being waived by his current team to make room for new additions to their roster.
