As the 2024 NBA Draft has come to a close, the Brooklyn Nets can now focus on other aspects of their offseason plans. One of their next steps is putting together their Las Vegas Summer League roster, which is taking shape nicely.

Recently, the Nets have added two undrafted free agents to their summer league squad: KJ Jones II from Emmanuel University and Mark Armstrong from Villanova. Now, they are set to add another player to the roster in the form of center David Muoka.

Muoka, who stands at 6-foot-10 and weighs 235 pounds, has previous experience with the Nets organization as he played for their G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets, during the 2023-24 season. During his time with Long Island, Muoka appeared in 33 games, starting 10, and averaged 4.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. He also posted shooting percentages of 56.9% from the field and 40.0% from the free-throw line.

At just 23 years old, Muoka entered the NBA during the 2023-24 season after playing his first two college seasons at Lamar University and his final two seasons at UNLV. He was initially selected third overall by Washington Wizards’ G League affiliate Capital City Go-Go in the 2023 G League Draft but was waived by them before Long Island claimed him. The news of Muoka joining the Nets’ summer league roster shows their commitment to building a strong team for next season.

Overall, these additions demonstrate that the Nets are taking a proactive approach towards building a strong roster for next season while ensuring that they have depth and versatility on their summer league squad.
