Los Angeles Lakers are set to draft Bronny James, the highly-rated son of LeBron James, in the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft. This move will make history as the first active father/son duo in the league.

Before embarking on his college career, Bronny faced a harrowing incident in July 2023 when he went into cardiac arrest while working out at USC. It was later discovered that he had a congenital heart defect. Fortunately, he was given the green light to return to playing basketball after being medically cleared.

Bronny James completed his high school career at Sierra Canyon High School as a highly rated four-star recruit and McDonald’s All-American. As a guard, he averaged an impressive 14.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.7 steals during his senior year of high school.

LeBron James had until Friday to decide whether to opt out of his contract with the Lakers. He ultimately decided to opt out, but it is widely expected that he will re-sign with the team before the draft takes place in June 2024. With both father and son on board for this exciting new chapter in their lives, basketball fans eagerly await their future partnership on the court next season with the Los Angeles Lakers.
