Firefighters in Brockton, Massachusetts battled a massive fire overnight that spread to multiple businesses. The blaze began in a large building that housed several businesses before extending to a nearby home, resulting in minor damage to the siding. The most significant damage occurred to the building on Main Street near East Nilsson Street.
Upon arrival at the scene, heavy smoke was already emanating from the structure. Fortunately, no individuals needed to be rescued, as two people inside the building’s basement were able to evacuate on their own. Fire officials confirmed that all individuals involved were safe.
The building housed a soul food restaurant, a convenience store, and a beauty salon, all of which were closed at the time of the fire.
