The British-American pair defeated Czech Adam Pavlasek and Uruguay’s Ariel Behar with a scoreline of 6-3 6-4. This marks their first time advancing beyond the quarter-finals at this tournament.

In their next match, Salisbury and Ram will face either the Spanish duo of Pablo Carreno-Busta and Sergio Martos Gornes or the team of Gonzalo Escobar and Aleksandr Nedovyesov. Meanwhile, British players Maia Lumsden and Yafan Wang secured a first-round victory in the women’s doubles with a 6-2 6-2 win against Lin Zhu and Fang-Hsien Wu.

Later in the day, all eyes will be on British pair Andy Murray and Dan Evans as they team up for the first time at a major tournament. Despite both players being eliminated from the singles competition, Murray and Evans will take on Thiago Seyboth Wild from Brazil and Sebastian Baez from Argentina on court 13. In addition, Katie Boulter and Heather Watson are set to face Hao-Ching Chan and Veronika Kudermetova in their upcoming match in the women’s doubles category.
