However, Norrie managed to break his opponent in the third set and ultimately clinched the victory.
Norrie recently had a disappointing performance at the French Open and was looking to regain his form on the grass courts. He acknowledged that the transition from clay to grass courts can be tricky but was pleased to advance to the next round where he will face Jack Pinnington Jones.
In another match, Dan Evans defeated Dominic Stricker after their match was resumed on Tuesday following a suspension due to poor light. Evans expressed his satisfaction with the win and is looking forward to his next match against fellow Briton Henry Searle.
