On Tuesday, British player Cameron Norrie secured his first win at the Nottingham Open after defeating Japanese qualifier Sho Shimabukuro in a three-set match. Despite taking the first set in a dominant fashion, Norrie faced a challenge in the second set when Shimabukuro forced a decider. However, Norrie managed to break his opponent in the third set and ultimately clinched the victory.

Norrie recently had a disappointing performance at the French Open and was looking to regain his form on the grass courts. He acknowledged that the transition from clay to grass courts can be tricky but was pleased to advance to the next round where he will face Jack Pinnington Jones.

In another match, Dan Evans defeated Dominic Stricker after their match was resumed on Tuesday following a suspension due to poor light. Evans expressed his satisfaction with the win and is looking forward to his next match against fellow Briton Henry Searle. Additionally, there were other British players who secured victories in the tournament, including Jake Fearnley and Charles Broom, while Jan Choinski suffered a straight-set defeat.
