On Sunday, Tom Pidcock took the lead in the cross-country race at Crans-Montana in the WHOOP UCI MTB World Series. He finished a full minute ahead of Mathias Flückiger, with Luca Braidot coming in third and outpacing XCO World Cup leader Nino Schurter. This marked Pidcock’s seventh MTB World Cup win and his second of the season as he continues to prepare for the upcoming Olympic Games.

Pidcock’s performance showcased his strength and speed, solidifying his status as a top contender in the mountain biking world. While Schurter had narrowly won the XCC race on Saturday, he fell behind in Sunday’s longer race, finishing 2:05 behind Pidcock. Despite this setback, Schurter remains a formidable competitor and will be sure to give it his all in future races.

With the Tour de France now behind him, Pidcock is focused on his mountain biking career and has set his sights on the Olympics as his next major goal. The victory at Crans-Montana adds to Pidcock’s impressive resume and sets the stage for more success in the future. Stay tuned for updates on Pidcock’s journey in the MTB World Series.
