Bristol Rovers recently signed striker Ruel Sotiriou from Leyton Orient for an undisclosed fee. Sotiriou, a Cyprus international, had been nearing the end of his contract with the club. However, the two sides reached an agreement to avoid a hearing by the Professional Football Compensation Committee. As part of the deal, Sotiriou has secured a three-year contract with the possibility of extending for an additional season at the Memorial Stadium.

Last season, Sotiriou was Leyton Orient’s top goal scorer, netting 12 goals across all competitions. Bristol Rovers manager Matt Taylor is confident in Sotiriou’s ability to score goals and believes that he needs to continue improving his overall performance on the field. Taylor is excited about supporting Sotiriou’s development at Bristol Rovers and is optimistic about his potential as a player. With Sotiriou’s arrival, Rovers hopes to strengthen its attacking line and challenge for promotion to Championship next season.
