Reneé Rapp, who recently attended the premiere of “Mean Girls,” has come out as a lesbian. This revelation came during an appearance on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM radio show in January, where she stated, “I don’t think I like boys.” She was later referred to as a “little lesbian intern” during a sketch on “Saturday Night Live” that same month. In February, Rapp confirmed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that she is indeed a lesbian. She drew parallels between her own journey with her sexuality and that of her character Leighton Murray on “Sex Lives of College Girls.”

Rapp reflects on her experiences and shares that she had recently begun identifying as a lesbian. Describing her current relationship as the most rewarding and validating experience of her life, she expressed her newfound sense of excitement and fear. Rapp reveals that she was initially nervous about publicly coming out on “Saturday Night Live” due to some negative responses from friends. However, after a brief period of staying off her phone, she felt that the experience ultimately felt good and empowering.
