Biking on snow may seem like a great idea, but it’s not practical or makes sense for slalom skiing. Instead of using bikes as substitutes, the UCI could explore better options to make something more exciting to watch. One option is fatbike XC courses that still require the fundamental skills of XC racing in a unique format. Another suggestion is to create a “skiercross but on bikes” event, similar to Dual Slalom but with larger and more elaborate courses. Using bikes with skis instead of tires on these courses could add an extra level of excitement. However, some people may prefer to stick to traditional activities for snow sports and leave snow as the domain of skiing.
