President Ricardo Solis of South Texas College (STC) recently collaborated with South Texas Health System to host a panel discussion in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. The goal of the event was to address the challenges in mental health treatment in the RGV region and provide support to those in need. The event, titled “CommUNITY: Shattering the Stigma Surrounding Mental Health as a Community Through Education, Communication & Support,” brought together experts from various sectors including healthcare, education, private industry, law enforcement, and the judicial system.
