Country music fans were excitedly anticipating the start of the Outlaw Music Festival Tour, which was set to kick off in Alpharetta, Georgia on Friday, June 21. However, their excitement turned to disappointment when news broke that Willie Nelson would not be performing at the initial shows.

Just hours before the tour was about to begin, a statement was posted on social media explaining that the 91-year-old country music legend was not feeling well and had been advised by doctors to rest for the next four days. Despite this unfortunate news, fans remained hopeful that Willie Nelson would make a quick recovery and join the tour as scheduled.

In Willie Nelson’s absence, his son Lukas Nelson and the Family Band performed at the first few shows of the tour. While it was disappointing that Willie Nelson wouldn’t be there, fans were still able to enjoy sets from other big-name artists such as Bob Dylan, Robert Plant, Alison Krauss, and Celiss.

The statement did not specify an exact date when Willie Nelson would make his return to the tour. However, fans were eagerly looking forward to seeing him perform again at a later date as the Outlaw Music Festival Tour is set to stop at Blossom Music Center in September. The legendary singer-songwriter’s fans are hopeful that he will make a full recovery and be back on stage soon.
