In a statement made at a gathering of NATO foreign ministers in Prague, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced that President Joe Biden has given the green light for Ukraine to use American weapons to target locations in Russia. This decision was made in response to intense Russian bombardments on Kharkiv that originated from Russian soil.

Blinken also revealed that definitive actions will be taken at the upcoming NATO summit to bring Ukraine closer to the alliance. He emphasized the importance of fortifying the alliance in the years to come, stating that NATO’s strength and size make it well-equipped to address present and future challenges. The 75th anniversary of NATO will be commemorated at the upcoming summit in Washington next July.
