Insurance group Sampo has announced that the Danish wholesaler, 1832 Asset Management, intends to accept its public exchange offer. 1832 Asset Management is the largest shareholder of Topdanmark apart from Sampo, holding 4.9 percent of Topdanmark’s outstanding shares and votes.

In a letter received by Sampo on June 19, 1832 Asset Management expressed its support for Topdanmark’s proposed acquisition and indicated its intention to accept the offer. With the irrevocable commitments and statements in place, Sampo’s shareholding in Topdanmark now stands at 57.2 percent of the outstanding shares and votes, excluding the shares held by Topdanmark.
