Kettering Health is expanding its intensive outpatient mental health program in Montgomery County, offering services at Kettering Health Miamisburg. This move aims to make behavioral health services more accessible to the community, helping patients apply the skills they learn in the program successfully. According to Mike Rabuka, administrative director of Kettering Health Behavioral Medical Center, easy access to mental health services is crucial for patients.

The new program will feature group and individual sessions with trained clinicians and medication management support. This expansion is designed to meet the growing demand for mental health services in the region. Julie Manuel, clinical program manager at Kettering Health Behavioral Medical Center, emphasized the benefits of offering these services closer to patients’ homes, reducing emergency room visits and hospitalizations while allowing individuals to continue functioning in their daily lives.

In addition to this new program, Kettering Health also operates a similar intensive outpatient mental health program at its behavioral medical center in Moraine and plans to expand it to other campuses in the region.
