In the Lower Zambezi National Park, a heartwarming incident occurred when a mother goose bravely confronted an eagle to save its chick. Kyle Branch, a wildlife expert at Classic Zambia Safaris, captured this extraordinary event while on a boat tour in the park.

The encounter between the mother goose and the eagle took place when Branch witnessed the fish eagle hovering over the water, eyeing a young Egyptian goose as its potential prey. The gosling sensed the imminent danger and made a quick dive into the water to evade the eagle’s attack. Despite its best efforts, the eagle managed to capture the gosling and flew away with it in its talons.
