An 11-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital with a high fever and boils on his knees. After two days, the boils burst, and he was diagnosed with severe pneumonia and sepsis. The child received treatment at a hospital in Dong Thap, including antibiotics and respiratory support, before being transferred to Children’s Hospital 1 in a critical condition.

Despite being on a ventilator, receiving strong antibiotics, and undergoing dialysis, the patient remained in severe pain due to complications from the infection. Doctors performed surgery to drain blood and pus, remove necrotic tissue from the lungs, and drain pus from the knee to stabilize his condition. After nearly two months of treatment, the boy remarkably recovered and was discharged from the hospital.
