In a recent survey conducted by Intapp, 805 fee earners from various professional firms, including accounting, consulting, financial, and law firms in the U.S. and U.K., were asked about their perceptions of technology. With 222 respondents specifically from law firms, the report found that lawyers at tech-savvy law firms reported higher job satisfaction and greater efficiency compared to those at less technology-forward firms.
The results of the survey showed that a significant number of law firm respondents at high-tech firms expressed high levels of overall job satisfaction (74%) in comparison to those at mid- or low-tech firms (51%). Additionally, employees at high-tech firms were more likely to stay in their jobs (73% vs. 61% for mid- or low-tech firms) and were more inclined to recommend their organization to others (75% vs. 53% for mid- or low-tech firms).
Overall, the findings from the report indicate that the integration of technology in law firms has a positive impact on employee satisfaction and productivity. By embracing technological advancements, legal professionals can enhance their work experience and contribute to the success of their organization.
