Bolton Wanderers have announced the signing of central defender Chris Forino from Wycombe Wanderers. The 24-year-old defender has agreed to a three-year contract with the club, joining on July 1st as a free agent.

Forino made a strong impression during his trial with Wycombe in 2021, scoring eight goals for the team before deciding to move on to Bolton. With his experience and talent, he is expected to make a significant impact on Bolton’s defense as they work to recover from their recent defeat in the League One play-off final against Oxford United.

As Bolton’s first signing of the summer, Forino is excited for the opportunity to play for a club with such ambition. He fondly remembers watching Bolton on Match of the Day in the Premier League and was impressed by their history and potential. Forino believes that Bolton is the right fit for him and is eager to contribute to the team’s future successes.

Forino said: “I am thrilled to be joining Bolton Wanderers. I have always admired this club’s history and potential, and I am honored to be playing for them. I am confident that this will be a great opportunity for me both personally and professionally.”
