Bob’s Stores, a discount retailer that has been serving communities in the Northeast for nearly 70 years, is set to close all its locations and liquidate all inventory. The closure is part of the company’s Chapter 11 restructuring petition filed on June 18 by the owner GoDigital Media Group.

The final day of business for Bob’s Stores will be July 14. Dave Barton, the president of Bob’s Stores, expressed regret over the financial position that led to the liquidation. He thanked vendors, suppliers, customers, and employees for their support over the years and acknowledged the long history of the company in local communities.

Bob’s Stores does not have any locations on Staten Island but has two stores on Long Island. It is important to note that Bob’s Discount Furniture and Mattress Store chain is owned by a different company. Currently, Bob’s Stores is offering discounts of 30% to 70% off merchandise, and gift cards and merchandise credits will be honored until July 14th. All sales are final, no returns will be accepted.

The list of closing Bob’s Stores locations includes stores in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Customers are encouraged to take advantage of promotions before July 14th when all stores will close permanently.
