Steve McQueen’s “Blitz” to Premiere at 68th BFI London Film Festival

Apple original film “Blitz,” directed, produced, and written by Steve McQueen, will make its world premiere as the opening night gala of the 68th BFI London Film Festival (LFF). This marks McQueen’s return to the festival after his previous work “Widows” and “Mangrove.”

The movie follows the story of George, a nine-year-old boy in wartime London, who is sent to the countryside by his mother, Rita, played by Saoirse Ronan, for safety. The film explores George’s journey back to London and Rita’s search for her missing son. The star-studded cast also includes Harris Dickinson, Benjamin Clementine, Kathy Burke, Paul Weller, and Stephen Graham.
