Big Island Toyota, a dealership group with two locations on Hawaiʻi Island, has recently been acquired by Servco Pacific Inc. The Fukunaga family, who have been working with Big Island Toyota for nearly 60 years, are excited to welcome them to Team Servco.

Big Island Toyota, founded in 1966 by David S. DeLuz Sr., John Correira, and Tatsuo “Baldy” Higashi, has been a partner of Servco since then. With over 100 team members dedicated to quality and service, the company has been the top dealership on Hawaiʻi Island since 1970. President Jackie DeLuz expressed that the decision to sell the dealership was a difficult one as they were a multi-generational family-owned business and did not have a family successor interested in taking over. However, she stated that they had confidence in Servco’s commitment to service and community values and believed their team members and customers would be well taken care of by them.

Servco Pacific Inc., founded in 1919 by Peter Fukunaga as a two-car garage in Waialua, has grown into the largest private company in Hawaiʻi. They serve as the exclusive distributor of Toyota, Lexus, and Subaru vehicles in Hawaiʻi and hold distributorships in Australia as well. Recognized as a top automotive dealer group in the U.S., Servco has received accolades such as being named a 2024 US Best Managed Company and one of the “Best Places to Work in Hawai‘i” for 20 consecutive years.
