After a disastrous first presidential debate, concerns about Joe Biden’s health and re-election bid have intensified. Amid these worries, the POTUS made a significant disclosure during a meeting with over 20 Democratic governors on Wednesday. In response to questions about his physical condition, Biden revealed that he had undergone a medical check-up after the previous week’s debate.

Sources close to the discussion said that the check-up was conducted by a White House physician due to lingering symptoms from a cold and did not involve any major tests. However, this did not stop some Democrats from suggesting that Biden should drop out of the race.

Despite these concerns, Democratic governors from New York, Minnesota, and Maryland expressed their support for Biden’s re-election bid during the meeting. Maryland Governor Wes Moore stated that Biden had their backs and would have his back as well. New York Governor Kathy Hochul also expressed confidence in the president after the meeting, while all governors pledged their support for Biden as party leader and nominee.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre avoided direct questions about whether Biden had been examined since the debate, stating that he undergoes regular annual physicals that are released in a thorough report. Despite this lack of transparency from the White House, it is clear that Democrats remain committed to supporting Biden in his re-election bid.
