Beyond Good & Evil is celebrating its 20th anniversary with the release of a special edition. The game will be available on multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on June 25th. Limited Run Games will be offering physical editions for all consoles, with pre-orders opening on July 12th.
The new edition takes players back to the world of Hillys alongside characters like Jade, Pey’J, and Double H as they embark on a new adventure that leads them to the Moon. The special edition includes a new Anniversary Gallery, re-orchestrated soundtrack, and more.
Compared to the original 2003 release, the new edition offers improved performance up to 4K resolution, 60 frames per second, auto-saving, scene skipping, full controller and keyboard/mouse support, and cross-saving capabilities across all platforms. Players can expect a new treasure hunt in Hillys as well as additional content such as a comprehensive gallery showcasing the game’s development process and a new Speedrun mode with over 20 additional trophy achievements.
