Twelve Bellarmine University student-athletes have been recognized by College Sports’ Communicators’ Academic All-District Teams. The organization announced that Bellarmine had six student-athletes each on the Women’s At-Large Team and the Men’s At-Large Team.

On the Women’s At-Large Team, six exceptional student-athletes were honored: Bente Moorman (field hockey, business administration), Alexa Rastigue (field hockey, Master of Arts in STEAM education), Teresa Schmidt (field hockey, Master of Science in digital media), Kailey Workman (field hockey, biochemistry and molecular biology), Josephine Bonin (women’s golf, business administration), and Alaina Schmitt (women’s golf, Master of Arts in communication).

On the Men’s At-Large team, six outstanding student-athletes were recognized: John Alie (lacrosse, finance), Christian Della Rocco (lacrosse, business administration), Aidan Fearn (lacrosse, economics), Benny O’Rourk (lacrosse, Master of Business Administration), Justin Wescoat (lacrosse, business administration), and Zac Cowan (wrestling, computer engineering).

To be eligible for consideration for the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and appear in a minimum of 90 percent of the team’s games or start in at least 66% for lacrosse and field hockey or compete in at least 70% of events for golf and wrestling.
