The financial sector has an average seniority of 26.6 years compared to 7.7 years in the trade industry.

Despite this, Acerta found that staying with an employer for more than 11 years does not necessarily mean a static work environment as job content can evolve over time.
Acerta analyzed data based on 340,000 employees from over 44,000 private companies in Belgium. The study also reveals that the influx of young employees who tend to change jobs more frequently contrasts with older employees who are staying in their roles longer due to the need to work later in their careers.
