Homelander, the menacing superhero in Prime Video’s series The Boys, is portrayed by Antony Starr. To achieve his iconic look, he relies on a muscle-padded supersuit crafted by costume designer Laura Jean Shannon. Despite the help from his costume, Starr still puts in the effort to maintain his physique by carefully monitoring his diet and exercise routine throughout the 7 to 8 months he spends filming each year.

In a recent episode of Men’s Health’s “Eat Like,” Starr opens up about the challenges of staying in shape for his role, admitting that he once had to wear a corset to fit into his costume. This experience served as motivation for him to shed a few pounds and stay on top of his health and fitness regimen.

Throughout the video, Starr shares insights into his dietary preferences, highlighting his go-to foods like proteins, pasta, burgers, and a special dairy-filled cheat meal as Homelander. He also recommends adding a tablespoon of peanut butter to post-workout protein shakes for added texture, sweetness, and healthy fats.

Starr is also known for being very particular about his protein sources. His ultimate last meal on earth would be either a hearty bowl of Bolognese or a trio of burgers. Fans can watch the full “Eat Like” video to get a closer look at the actor’s eating habits and learn more about his portrayal of the enigmatic character of Homelander in The Boys.
