On Saturday, Adventist Health Sierra Vista hosted a baby shower for Shauna McKinney, a mom-to-be who is 34 weeks pregnant and on bed rest for the safety of herself and her baby. Unable to leave the hospital, her doctor and nurses permitted her family to host the baby shower in the hospital courtyard. It was a heartwarming event with family, friends, and church members coming together to celebrate this special time in McKinney’s life.

Despite initial fears, McKinney expressed gratitude for the support she has received from her loved ones, healthcare providers, and community. This will be her first time giving birth in a hospital, as she is already a mother of twins and is expecting her third child. Everyone gathered to wish McKinney and her family a safe and healthy future.

The baby shower was made possible by the sponsorship of Adventist Health, demonstrating their commitment to supporting and celebrating the members of their community during important life events.
