The Battlehawks had a strong start against the Stevenson Brahmas in the first quarter, with Marquez Stevenson leading the way with 27 yards and a touchdown. However, the Brahmas were quick to regain the lead, thanks to a 15-yard touchdown pass by Chase Garbers.
The key play of the quarter was when D. Shepherd fumbled and the Brahmas recovered, leading to their first score. But the Battlehawks defense also stepped up, intercepting Garbers and preventing a potential scoring opportunity for the Brahmas.
