The U23 Women’s Freestyle World Team is almost finalized, with only two spots remaining to be determined. The process of making the team has been intricate and detailed, and the entire process can be found here. Currently, eight out of the ten members have been decided and will be competing at the U23 World Championships in Tirana, Albania on October 21-27, with the backup wrestlers listed in parentheses.

The determined U23 spots are as follows: Audrey Jimenez at 50 kg, Elena Ivaldi at 53 kg, Amani Jones at 55 kg, Sofia Macaluso at 57 kg, Skye Realin at 59 kg, Macey Kilty at 62 kg, Brooklyn Hayes at 68 kg, and Yelena Makoyed at 76 kg. However, there are still two spots left to fill in the 65 kg and 72 kg weight classes.

To determine these final spots on the U23 World Team, a series of wrestle-offs will take place on Thursday June 27th during the Olympic Team Camp in Colorado Springs. In the first match of the day’s preliminary session Adaugo Nwachukwu will face Claire DiCugno for the right to move on to
