Barcelona Femení has appointed Pere Romeu as the new head coach. Romeu, who previously served as an assistant under Jonatan Giráldez, has signed a two-year contract that will keep him with the team until June 2026. Before taking on this new role, Romeu had been involved with the club in various capacities for several years.

In 2017, Romeu began working in Barcelona’s youth development program and played a key role in the development of midfielder Gavi. He briefly left the club to serve as an assistant manager at Romanian side Viitorul Constanța before returning in 2021 to work alongside Giráldez. During his time with the team, Romeu contributed to their success, which includes winning three consecutive Liga F titles and back-to-back Women’s Champions League trophies.

Romeu’s extensive experience within the Barcelona Femení setup makes him a natural choice for the head coaching position. The club is confident that under Romeu’s leadership, they will continue to achieve success on the field. Fans are excited to see what the future holds for Barcelona Femení under their new head coach.
