Barcelona and Serie A side Fiorentina have initiated talks for the transfer of forward Vitor Roque, who has been struggling to find game time with current manager Xavi Hernandez. Despite being signed last summer and having his deal accelerated for January, Roque has spent much of the season on the bench.

Roque’s agent has expressed concerns over his lack of playing time and has demanded either more opportunities or a transfer. However, Barcelona is considering loaning him out for further development, with a potential permanent transfer on the table if they can make a profit.

Despite the challenges he faced in his first season at Barcelona, Roque remains determined to impress new manager Hansi Flick and has returned early for preseason to work on his fitness. Fiorentina, meanwhile, are reportedly interested in acquiring Roque and have reached out to Barcelona for information on the terms of a possible transfer.
