The catch was expertly judged by Jaker Ali, giving Shakib his landmark wicket.
In his 42 T20 World Cup matches, Shakib has an average of 19.38 and an impressive strike rate of 6.81 with the ball. He leads the list of most wickets, with Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi coming in second with 39 wickets in 34 matches.
The match saw Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto win the toss and choose to bowl first against India in their second Super Eight clash. A win for India would put them on the path to the semi-finals, while another loss for Bangladesh would likely eliminate them from contention.
