The team started off well, with Taskin Ahmed and Tanzim Hasan Sakib taking out both openers early on. Mahmudullah also played a crucial role in the team’s success, making a breakthrough when he was called upon for one over. However, it was Rishad Hossain who truly sealed the deal for Bangladesh. Despite being hit for a few runs, Hossain remained composed and managed to pick up three crucial wickets, including that of Sybrand Engelbrecht.
