The Bangladesh team has announced its 15-man squad for the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup in the West Indies and the United States. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto, with his experience in leading the team in all three formats of the game this year, will lead the squad.

Shakib Al Hasan’s availability was uncertain due to an eye problem, but he made a comeback to T20 international cricket this month against Zimbabwe, taking five wickets in two matches. His experience and expertise make him a valuable asset for the team.

Apart from Shakib, pace bowler Tanzim Hasan Sakib has also been included in the squad after performing well in the recent series against Zimbabwe. Shoriful Islam has been recalled after being rested for the final two matches. The team is placed in Group D alongside Sri Lanka, South Africa, the Netherlands, and Nepal for the World Cup scheduled from June 1-29.

Bangladesh will kick off their campaign against Sri Lanka in Dallas on June 7. The squad includes players like Litton Das, Soumya Sarkar, Taskin Ahmed, Mahmudullah Riyad, and Mustafizur Rahman, among others. Their lineup promises a blend of experience and new talent as they aim to make their mark in the upcoming tournament.
