Wisconsin Badgers head coach Luke Fickell recently discussed the upcoming football season during a 5-minute appearance on the Big Ten Network’s ‘B1G Today’. He covered a range of topics including the team’s objectives during spring practice, preparations for fall training camp, the Big Ten’s new additions of USC, UCLA, Oregon, and Washington, the location of the Big Ten championship game, and the College Football Playoff expansion to 12 teams.

Fickell is entering his second year with the program and is working to reshape the program’s entire identity. While last season ended with a disappointing 7-6 record due to a light schedule in the Big Ten West, he believes that improvement across the roster is essential for success in 2024. The introduction of Phil Longo’s new air-raid offensive system will play a crucial role in this process.

During his BTN appearance, Fickell did not go into specifics about how he plans to implement Longo’s system or what improvements he expects from his players. However, it is clear that enhancing the offense will be a priority for him and his coaching staff. As such, fans should stay tuned to X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook for ongoing coverage of Wisconsin Badgers news, notes and opinion as they continue their journey towards success on and off the field.
