Martin Lawrence attended the Los Angeles premiere of Columbia Pictures’ “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” at the TCL Chinese Theatre on May 30, 2024. The event drew attention from fans and media alike as Lawrence’s health was called into question following a viral clip from the premiere.

In the clip, Lawrence and his co-star Will Smith were seen atop a bus addressing the crowd during the premiere. Lawrence was seen being led by Smith towards the crowd, which led to concerns about his health among fans on social media. Lawrence was also noted to be less energetic than Smith, which raised further speculation.

Lawrence and Smith addressed the concerns during an interview on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning. Host Ebro Darden directly asked Lawrence about the speculation surrounding his health, to which Lawrence responded by saying he was fine and that he was grateful for each day he woke up. He reassured fans that there was no need for concern.

Later in the interview, Lawrence joked about his health and urged people to stop spreading rumors about his well-being. The 59-year-old actor has faced health issues in the past, including hospitalizations for exhaustion and dehydration in 1996 and heat exhaustion in 1999 which led to him slipping into a coma for three days. However, Lawrence emphasized that he was in good health and thanked everyone for their concern. His good humor and positive outlook on his well-being reassured fans and put an end to the rumors surrounding his health after the premiere of “Bad Boys: Ride or Die”.
