On July 27th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Priority Health Care’s Pediatric Clinic is hosting a Back-to-School Health and Wellness Fair. The event will take place at 12 Westbank Expressway and aims to help students start the school year on a healthy note.

Dr. Anna Villanueva, a nurse practitioner at PHC’s pediatric clinic, emphasized the importance of wellness exams and vaccinations before students head back to school. By ensuring children are up to date on their health check-ups, parents can help prevent the spread of illnesses once the school year begins.

In addition to offering sports physicals and vaccinations, PHC will provide a variety of activities for kids at the fair. These include carnival games, face painting, movies, music, refreshments, and snowballs to enjoy as a fun way to close out the summer. For more information, individuals can contact 504-509-KIDS (5437) or visit the provided links for English and Spanish versions.

It is important to note that there are no out-of-pocket costs for attending the fair. Regardless of health insurance status, individuals will not be turned away
