Austria’s Nico Wiener secured a spot in the second compound men’s final four of his career after defeating Mathias Fullerton, the current Hyundai Archery World Cup Champion, in their quarterfinal tiebreak. Wiener celebrated with a fist pump after earning a better 10, and acknowledged that shooting against Fullerton, who is widely considered to be the best at the moment, was a challenge. Despite acknowledging some luck in his win, Wiener credited his improvement and dedication to the sport for his success. Fullerton, who was seeded first and performed strongly throughout the event, finished in seventh place after losing to Wiener in the quarterfinals.

In the compound women’s category, Andrea Becerra secured her place in the semifinals by defeating reigning World Archery Champion Aditi Swami in the quarterfinals. Becerra, who finished as runner-up to Swami in previous championships, will face off against Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Meeri-Marita Paas, and Alexis Ruiz in upcoming matches. India is represented by Jyothi Surekha Vennam in the compound women’s semifinals.
