Reyne Smith, the leading scorer for the College of Charleston, has found a new home at Louisville after his head coach Pat Kelsey was named the head coach at Louisville. Kelsey, who led the Cougars to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, will now be coaching Smith at Louisville. The Australian sharpshooter made the commitment to the Cardinals on social media.

College of Charleston also lost talented freshman center James Scott, who entered the transfer portal. However, they secured a new head coach in Chris Mack, who has agreed to a five-year deal. With seven players moving on from the team, Mack will have his work cut out for him as he builds a new roster for the Cougers.

The players who have moved on from College of Charleston include Ante Brzovic, Ben Burnham, Jordan Crawford, Khalil London and Evan Kilminster. Smith set a school record with 10 threes in a single game last season and made a team-high 112 3-pointers. Jeff Goodman of The Field of 68 was the first to report Mack’s hiring.
