On Thursday, Austin FC announced that Ghana international winger Osman Bukari will be joining the team in a transfer from Red Star Belgrade. Bukari, 25, has signed a 3 1/2-year guaranteed contract with Austin FC as one of the team’s Designated Player signings, with an option for 2028. This signing comes shortly after Austin waived Designated Player Emiliano Rigoni and bought out the remainder of his contract.

During his time with Red Star Belgrade, Bukari scored 25 goals and made 20 assists. He also has represented the Ghana national team, scoring three goals in 17 appearances, including at the 2022 World Cup.
